Thrifting!

On the thrifting road again! Some cute pieces of jewelry I found. I just love those big enameled flower pins!
If I didn't all ready have a cabinet full of mugs, I'd keep these! They are very heavy glass of the world globe from Nestle.

This is so cute. I think I'll use this as a sponge holder by my sink.

This is an early version of a lint brush! Use it on fabrics and it works like a charm!

I've seen a lot of collector's plates in my times but never found a Dennis the Menace one before! See something you want? Let me know, I'd be happy to set something up for you. That applies to any of the thrift posts you see.

More on Paper Tape

Some of these I like better than others! Like this one, the quilt series, I think would be better in a darker ink color. I'll use it to seal up the small jewelry boxes I use to ship out buttons to customers.
These (above) are just fun. The moons look better in person and who doesn't love Cooties?
Think I'll use the Cootie one to seal up an envelope!
I love the birthday rubber stamp!

I punched out some handmade paper I had laying around and then glued them onto the paper tape. The first one I did using Elmer's Glue and don't care for it, you can see some of the glue even after it dried. So, I switched to my trusty glue stick and am happier with that. The last two, I used a toothpick and applied a very small dab of the glue stick to just the center, then turned the toothpick around and poked the center down. The result are small flowers that are cupped! It gives some dimension to the look.

For these, I punched other colors of the paper tape and applied them to more paper tape. The Mickey Mouse ones are definitely my favorite ones!

So many uses for paper tape! Here's the Diva Dog with the tape I made earlier.
The paper tape can be found in my Etsy shop: www.RunsWithScissors4.etsy.com

Paper Tape Report!

As you know, I'm so hooked on this paper tape! I just didn't know what to do with the plain colored tapes, I really do like the patterned paper best.
So, I thought I'd give this a try and pulled out just two of my small rubber stamps, just to see if it works and it does!
What do you think? The possibilities are endless! Now I can't wait to try more.

Just when you thought it was safe!

Just when you thought it was safe to come back to my blog, more finds! Found this wonderful card shuffler!
Metal with a plastic disk and wood handles. Jennie, you need this to go with your playing card collection!

Poly-resin coasters.

AND, my weird item of the day! What is it? Is it a Christmas stocking? A wine bottle holder?

Yes, it's a golf bag but what do you do with it? It has it's own golf crying towel with Ho Ho Ho on it and a handle on the back for hanging somewhere.

It's very nicely made, beautiful tartan plain with vinyl around the bottom. Not the cheaper plastic.
I know you want this. How retro is this? Remember when mushrooms were the hottest thing to have in your kitchen?

It's by Burwood and plastic. In fabulous condition dude!

Here we go again! Part Three

Not really sure why I was attracted to these. Each one has a stamp on the back that says Distinctive Pictures by Lambert. The frames are battered and beaten, but I love them! I tried to research them and found only two others. One said they are lithographs, but I wouldn't know one if it bit me.
They look like magazine pages to me!

Isn't Lambert the same as Paint by Numbers?
I got myself a little flatback! Cute little clown statue.

Why bother painting the back? Not going to see it anyway!

Temporama by Cannonsburg Pottery.

I just love this pattern!
Everything will be listed in my shop someday! If you see something you are interested in, let me know and I'll set up a listing for you. Stop by my shop: www.VintageStation.etsy.com

Here we go again! Part Two

These fall under the What Was I Thinking category! I guess I just thought they were neat looking! I did show SOME restraint, I only took one pair and there were plenty others there!
These are listed in my Etsy shop! Two metal casserole holders.

Wouldn't they look awesome on your holiday table?

I have mixed feeling about this one. It's by Monet and very pretty and dainty. I've never seen so many tiny little rhinestones before!

The problem is, some of the stones seem to be dirty and I'm not comfortable trying to clean it. The dirty gets behind the stones, so it's not an easy clean. Do I sell it or do I keep it?

This isn't old enough to sell in my shop but I just could NOT pass it up!

Isn't it just too awesome? Guess what I paid for it!

Oh how I wish there were more of these! Just one lonely custard cup!

I have a matching mixing bowl all ready listed in my shop!
