Shrinky Dinks!

Has anyone played with Shrinky Dinks lately? Yep, I'm just a little kid at heart. Couldn't resist playing with them again. My photos are not the best, but you can get the idea. These were fun to do! I put holes in them so I can make necklaces out of them. The one above is so retro looking!
I need to do another one of these because I love the drawing but not happy with the background, think it would be better on a white background.

A thrifting I went!

I think I've been suffering from cabin fever, so today I went out thrifting. And I'm glad I did!

Here's a few finds:

Rhinestone butterfly pin and the small rhinestones inside the wings make up flowers!Fire-on casserole! I've never seen a casserole like this one before!Ah, I'm such a Mickey Ho! This is stick the nose on Mickey! A party game but the graphics are so bright and wonderful, I wonder what the vinyl sheet looks like fully opened.I fell in love with this little bird statue. I have no idea what it is, at first, I thought it was an aquarium statue, but now I have my doubts. It's only painted on one side, what the heck, you can only see one side at a time anyway, why bother painting both sides!

Ever see something and you think, this is so ugly, it's cute? Well, this necklace falls into that category! It's like a spaghetti poodle! But it's a necklace. And ah, rhinestone eyes and nose!

All these items will be in my vintage shop soon, so stop by www.VintageStation.etsy.com and view more photos.

I did purchase one item that I'm unable to part with just now. I jokingly said to my hubby that I bought this for behind the TV set and his first words were "oh, more junk". I pulled this lovely blue rubber textured "ball" with a happy face on it out of the bag and he changed his mind and said "Yep, that goes behind the TV!" It's a lamp! LOLOL! Another wonderful retro item and okay, when I'm done with it, it too will go into my shop but for now, it's mine!

Thank you tags!

I really wanted to make some tags to send along with my orders as a thank you. It occurred to me that I have a huge container of scrapbook supplies, so I got those out and rooted through them. Here are some results. I used some thank you stickers and rubber stamps. Added some brads and doodads and think they came out nicely.
The one above has a 3-D butterfly, I used pop up sticky foam pads.
Some are nothing more than an antique looking tag with my address on it and thank you on the back.
The ones above are smaller tags that started out white and I dyed them. I love these except they curl up, even days after I put them under a book to flatten out, when I removed the book, they curled. Anyway, the brown antique ones are coffee dyed with vanilla scent, the purple ones are dyed with food colors as well as the teal and tye dyed ones. Again, added some brads or buttons with a thank you sticker.
