Vintage Button Collection

Okay, so I promised a friend I'd take photos of my button collection, here's the beginning of them!

Many, many years ago, I was really into button collecting.  I had tons, I was a member of the National Button Society, got all the bulletins, all the collecting button books etc.  Well, I decided to sell my entire collection.  I found it too difficult to not collect them!  I have started up again but now collect only a certain few and not everything under the sun.

In today's post, I'm going to show you some glass buttons.  Sit back and relax, there's a lot of photos and this is one of my smaller sections of my collection!

These are just a few misc. glass ones.
I love glass with different luster finishes.
A few art deco ones.
I love it when I find a button I really like and then find it in different colors!  The top card is the same button in pink, yellow and clear.  The last one is a reverse painted one.
These are stencils.  Again, same button in different colors!
Calico buttons, I love the art work on these!  The last one is an ink well style.
More calico buttons in different sizes.  I think the squiggly ones are my favorites.
I'm not sure what these are called, I call them inscribed.  I can't get enough of these!  Check out the two blue ones, mother and daughter sizes.
Love the golf club and ball!
More inscribed ones!  Fruit, animals and rock n' roll!

Stay tuned for more categories in days to come!

WOW. Being a button collector myself, I can really appreciate your buttons. If I had to pick my favorite, it would be the mother daughter with the birds. I have not seen those before. Keep those photos coming so I have something to look at when I eat my lunch. :)
