MORE dangling doodads!

Okay, by request of the sneaker peeps, here they are! More dangling doodads!

Wedding Photo Bracelet

I was contacted by Rosella from http://www.paintedmemoriesbyros.etsy.com/ asking me if I could make a bracelet from wedding pictures of her daughter's wedding! I'm always up for a challenge, so I said I'd give it a try. After several attempts, I think it's finally finished. She emailed me scans of a lot of photos and I picked out some features. Here's the final look:

Oh how I wish I could take photos! Anyway, the two center beads are the eyes of the bride and groom. On either side of those are parts from a menu that Rosella made and I added the date of the wedding, then the end beads on either side are their lips. Finished off with a clasp with hearts on it! All is done in antique copper bead caps and Amethyst bicones. The photos are done in browns and sephias.

More Dangling Doodads!

Today's edition of Dangling Doodads! I love making these! I'm now officially out of the proper paper to do them. Oh, I can make more of the same colors but I don't have any new colors. I promptly ordered some handmade paper to see how that will work out!

The one on the left is so Eastery, Springy (are they words?) that I had to add a flower to it! Yep, a dangling doodad flower!

New Project!

I found something I can do with my scrap pieces of paper! I decided to make earrings but about halfway through the first earring, a light went off in my head and I turned the earring into this:

It's a dangling doodad pendant! After I made this one, my hubby sat down and thought about what I was doing and of course, came up with a genius way for me to make them so much easier and cut my time in half! Since, I've made more:

The dangles are all from http://www.theivyleaf.etsy.com/ and she does such a great job on them! I love all of them! She does all different colors so I'm having a great deal of fun matching things up. I'm even mixing colors together, which is something I don't usually do!

Here are all of them together and you can definitely see the difference between the very first one I did and all of the others:

Funny!

I'm listening to the radio this morning, the 60's channel is great! The morning DJ is fun to listen to and he does trivia each day. Usually it's trying to guess a city or town but this morning, he wanted the most used nickname of college basketball teams.

Here's part of the conversation. This lady calls in and guesses. Wrong answer but since he was winding down on the question for the day, he decides to give her clues while she's on the line. First clue, the DJ gives names of several college basketball teams that all have the same name. Nope, the lady says, no guess.

DJ: It's a name of the cat
Caller: Cougar?
DJ: No, it's a cat that starts with the letter T as in Tom
Caller: Um, no guess
DJ: It's a cat that starts with the letter T as in Tiger
Caller: Um, nope, no guess (by now I'm rolling)
DJ (louder this time): It's a cat that starts with the letter T as in TIGER, got a guess now?
Caller: Nope (now I can hardly see the road laughing)
DJ: There's a golfer by the same name
Caller: Oh, yes! NICHOLSON!

I kid you not!

Finished items

These came out SO nice! All the hoops are from http://RockisSupplies.etsy.com and I absolutely LOVE all of them! Such unusual shapes that they make every pair of earrings look so different and they are the most comfortable hoops to wear!
The top pair (birds) are resin pieces on Rocki's Ox hoops. All the dangles were purchased from
http://TheIvyLeaf.etsy.com! I highly recommend both shops! My photos just don't do these items justice.

Just when you think it's safe

Woke up this morning to more snow. I am SO ready for Spring and the color of beautiful flowers!

In the morning, it dumped inches of snow in a very short amount of time. My dogs had an appointment to be groomed, so we kept that appointment. I feel so bad for them! So cold and now they have short hair! My little princess, Sadie, is wearing her coat in the house.

She will sit and shiver but the larger dog, P.J., loves the snow and doesn't care how cold it is. He will roll around in the snow, bury his head in the snow and stay out there until I make him come in.

That's snow on his face and back!
