Any one know for sure what this is?  I'm thinking it's a noodle cutter but do not know for sure.

Another Zibbet Update

I want to point out that in my original post I said with the premium account on Zibbet, you can list up to 100 items for $9.95 a month. This is incorrect! With the premium account, listings are unlimited! Plus, you can customize your shop with the premium account.  Remember, there's No listing fees and No ending fees!

Lots to think about, if you are thinking about opening a new shop!

I wish I could report I had a sale, but I haven't.  I do want to report that the views are great!  I've had more views in the two days I've been open than I get in a week at Etsy.

I would highly recommend the site to anyone.  Even if it's the free part of it.  Give it a try!

Took the Plunge!

I've opened a new shop on Zibbet. You can view it at www.Zibbet.com/vintagestation

I went with the free edition for now to see how things go, maybe after Christmas, I'll upgrade.

For the free edition, you can put 50 items in your shop, no ads, no fees and you can have up to 4 photos. The upgrade costs $9.95 a month, you can put 100 items in your shop, no ads, no fees and more photos plus some more extras.

I like the look of it and the ease of listing. It's set up very much like Etsy, so if you list on Etsy, you can list on Zibbet. Did I mention, NO FEES!

For now, I removed some of my listings from Etsy to put on Zibbet. If things work out, I'll start listing new items there.  On Zibbet, you can import/export items so it's very easy and quick to set up shop!

Day Four of Vacation - Final day

Oh my goodness, today was more beautiful than yesterday and I just couldn't image it would be!

It was 20 degrees warmer this morning when I left, so I didn't even need my Winter jacket!  As I warmed up the car this morning, I looked at the sky and it was so clear blue with streaks of red from the morning sunrise and there was a hot air balloon rising up!  Doesn't get much better than that!

I went to the flea market and was able to find a new button dealer!  No, she wasn't selling new buttons but she was a new vendor to me.  I spent a lot of time rooting through her buttons and she went to her van and got more!  I walked away with a baggie full.  Stayed tuned to www.VintageStation.etsy.com to see some them listed.  Some are keepers.  :o)  


The only other thing I found was a great salad bowl with two matching bowls by FireKing.  They are white and have the BC Comics on the sides, I just couldn't resist! 

Funny how things work.  I had seen two of the small bowls yesterday and while sitting in my hotel room last night, got to thinking about them and wish I had looked into them further.  I picked one up, wasn't priced, so I put it down.  Now I wish I had followed through on them and purchased them.

I went back to one place to see if it was where I saw them.  It wasn't, so I didn't feel like retracing my tracks from yesterday!

Quite frankly, I had enough antique shopping now!  This trip has just flown by, so I thought I'd call it a short day and veg in the hotel.  I left the flea market and took a drive to see if I could find some craft shops.  I did find them, but they didn't have what I wanted.  I stopped for lunch, homemade pork BBQ and picked up something to eat for dinner.  In my mind, if I just sit here, time will slow down! 

*Sigh*  Tomorrow I leave for home.  I'm all ready thinking about how to lug my giant PBN down to the car.   I repacked my trunk and put the back seats down, so I'm partially ready.  But I'm not ready to go home, wish I could stay a few more days!

Day Three of Vacation!

I started out the day at a flea market that is outside and under trees!  It was freezing cold!  Good thing I packed a winter jacket and gloves!

Here's where I was:  http://www.shuppsgrove.com/  It's a really neat place to go.  And this is the best time of year to go!  There's a lot of vendors that set up all summer long and just leave their items there from week to week.  Next week is the last week of the season, so you can items at rock bottom prices because they don't want to pack them up to take home for the Winter!  First place I stopped, was having 75% off everything.  I got a harvest gold rotary dial princess phone, a Paint by Number metal napkin holder, pair of salt & pepper shakers, a white vase with black splatter and a Mink stick pin (and I can't think of what else) for only $25 total!  Also, picked up some buttons and more sheet music at another place.

I did get some more Paint by Numbers today.  One is the smallest size they ever made, so now I have the largest one ever made and the smallest one ever made. 

Sorry, no photos again today, so you'll have to wait until I get home to see what all I got!

Day Two of Vacation

Day two of my vacation and it's going way too fast.

When the sun finally came up this morning, it proved to be worth the wait!  It was just a beautiful day and what a great time to be in Amish country!  The fields are just beautiful and there's pumpkin patch after pumpkin patch!  The sky was so blue and it was perfect temperature wise.  There was a 4 mule team plowing a field, awesome to see and some horse and buggies out getting the families to the grocery stores, even the horses had extra spring in their steps today.  The leaves are changing to such amazing colors and are right in line with all the beautiful mums that are in full bloom.  Anyone that doesn't appreciate all the wonders of nature, needs to check their pulse!

My first stop of the day was Green Dragon Farmer's Market.  http://www.greendragonmarket.com/  As I pulled into one part of the parking lot, I noticed coming in the other direction this huge farm wagon filled with Fall decorations like mums and pumpkins.  It was being drawn by horses!  Very cool to see.  I forget where I am some times, there's a local Walmart with horse and buggy parking!  On the outer edge of the market, farmers bring in loads of hay and then they are auctioned off to people who need it. 

The indoor buildings are open all year round.  There's a lot of butchers with smoked meats, local produce and homemade baked goods.  I come to this market each trip for one purpose only, to see Janet and visit her antique booth!  She's an amazing lady.  Well into her 80's, she still attends auctions each week to purchase items for her booth.  She has a wonderful knack of finding great, unusual items and she likes to pass along savings to those who visit her booth.  Don't even think about asking her for a discount!  Nope, not going to happen, she'll tell you her prices are all ready low enough!  LOL!  She told me today she's not sure how long she will continue doing this, she has to leave in the dark in the morning and go home in the dark at night and she has a 25 mile drive.  I do understand where she is coming from, but I sure hope she'll still be there next year!

I stayed with Janet a lot longer than I usually do.  We had fun going through her items and some things we were unable to identify, but it was fun trying!  She kept saying, I have no idea what it is or why I bought it, I'm just hoping someone will tell me what it is!  We did come up with a few items that I could help but not all of them.  One item I couldn't resist for her price was a glass double egg cup looking thing.  I said this is way too large for an egg cup, what do you think?  She thinks it might be a massive master double salt.  I will do research on this later!  I spent way too much time and money in her booth but am pleased with what I walked away carrying!  I had to go buy a shopping bag.  I have 3 reusable bags in my car but always forget to take them with me!  Anyway, I got some more souvenir glass, one dated from the 1800's, so I'm anxious to do research on my finds!

 The second antique booth has some interesting items that I couldn't pass up!  Across from her is her husband that had, guess what?  No, not a paint by number but I was able to wrangle out a box of sheet music from him!  Now I must leave, seriously, I couldn't carry everything to my car!  I had no choice but to stop and buy another shopping bag!

I found a few new places to stop and stopped at more places than I had planned to.  Picked up some vintage paper tablets that I will make some paper beads out of, some rolls of paper (don't ask) and a few other items here and there.  Sorry I don't have any photos to share with you but that will have to wait until I get home and unpacked!  WAY too many items to list today.

On my final stop of the day, what did I spy?  Now you are correct, but it's not your ordinary paint by number!  I found a metal tray with PBN pheasants on it!  I can hang it on the wall with the giant PBN from yesterday!

Oh, I must tell Country this because I thought of her when I saw it.  I purchased an old primitive noodle cutter!  At least, that's what I think it is!  It's some type of cutter that rolls.  LOL!
