Visitor

We had another visitor to the backyard. Hawks are such amazing birds but I hate to think they are here to hunt other birds. This one wouldn't sit still for it's close up.

Hawk

We often get to see hawks in this area but rarely am I able to get photos.  This one landed on our fence but by the time I got my camera, it had flown to a nearby bush.

This is a red tail hawk and it's amazing just how large they are!

The other day, I was lucky enough to be outside just as a blue heron flew over my head!  This heron has been here for years but I wonder why it's still here in this cold weather!
