What's It? - UPDATE

Found this items while out antique shopping this weekend and can't find any information about it online.

This is what I know, it's called a posting tray (it says so on the label)!

The silver handle you see is like a trigger, depress it and you can move the front part back and forth.
It's Made in England.
The arms on the sides can be pulled out for larger space.
And the arms fold down.

My very first thought was that it could have been used in old gas stations to hold customer work orders and now I'm wondering if it could have been used in an old hotel to hold room bills.  Anyone have any ideas?

My friend from VintageEmbellishment found the patent number online, it's from 1947 and is listed as a loose sheet holder!  Thank you so much!

Thrifting finds - Jewelry!

Wow, I had a very successful thrifting trip and came home with a ton of goodies! I'll start with the jewelry. This is a tin parrot pin from Japan! It's so nicely painted!
Next is this green plastic parrot from Italy. It has a rhinestone eye.
Goldtone cat with rhinestone eyes. It's marked Monet.

Goldtone owl with rhinestone eyes and jewel belly! Unknown maker.

Rhinestone and enameled turtle. Unknown maker.

Surprise! It's an enameled daisy bracelet with yellow plastic centers. Maker WEISS!!!
This is the cute! Pink with a little blue umbrella with rhinestones and pearls. Unknown maker.
Goldtone bunny in blue enameled basket, has a pearl dangling from the side and has rhinestone eyes. Unknown maker.
This just screams the 70's! Metal black and white flower pin.

I must have hit this store at the right time! Just after someone cleaned out their jewelry box! I found all of this in one place.
