For some reason, a pair of robins have decided
they wanted to make a nest on my deck. There's plenty of spots for them to make
a nest but they picked a spot that just isn't suitable for it. A piece of wood
that is no more than 1" thick.
They would bring stuff to put on the nest, leave
to get more and the first stuff had blown down. They were so persistent. All
morning long, back and forth, back and forth. It amazed me how long they
tried. What a mess they made out there!
Why would they try this? Do you think they are a
young birdie couple that don't know better?
Since I haven't seen them for a few hours now, I
wonder if they finally gave up or if they will be back tomorrow.
