Thrift shop find
I love vintage and especially love retro 60's type items. I was so surprised to come across this one!
So Judy Jetson, don't you think?
I wish I could keep all the items like this I find, but I can't. It is for sale in my vintage shop: www.VintageStation.etsy.com. Stop by and check out more photos!
Quick Post!
I found out last night one of the items for sale in VintageStation has been featured in a storque article on Etsy. That's exciting, right?
Here's the article: Etsy :: The Storque :: Reviews :: Camera Obscura: Found Footage Mashups with Lineland#comment-142393 Scroll down and you will see my vintage Popeye paper plate in the treasury feature!

Freaky Friday!
There's some very strange and freaky items on Etsy! Think I'll try to highlight some of them! Here's some cute bacon magnets from DesignDude's shop :

Brain bobby pins from RatBoygirl's shop :

Tentacle plant from teethandsnarlz's shop:

Baby plays with axe? From NayArts's shop

New Blood: Labart's shop

Not sure which is more distasteful, the photo or the extremely LONG title, I lose interest half way through titles this this, from sweetheartsinner's shop:

Okay, this one has grown on me, from GutenMonsters's shop:

New bracelets.
I had these two items that I never did anything with them, so I got this idea and threw them together. These are jump rings and tire spacers. I have an entirely new appreciate for those that do chainmaille! No way could I ever do those amazing patterns and things they do, just doing a few jump rings, bugged me!

Shop Closing
It's sad to see shops close. Lisa from http://www.beadsoul.etsy.com/ has decided to close up shop. She's having a sale to reduce inventory, so stop by and see if there's anything you can use. She's a great person and you won't be disappointed with your purchase.
I came across these Mother of Pearl (dyed yellow) bead frames in her shop and was fascinated by them! I just had to give them a try. Here's my first attempt:
Okay, so I went away to try out a few more items and came up with this:Using vintage lucite cubes and gold beads.
Using the MOP frames, I put 2 orangy vintage lucite cubes with one gold ball, then put a green vintage lucite cube in the next frame.
I really like how this came out, it's fun and funky!
I finished it off with a butterfly magnetic clasp.

Needle felting, ME?
Most people that know me, know putting a sharp object in my hands can be dangerous. Have you ever seen those felting needles? LOL!
So, I don't needle felt, I poke felt. Yes, I use the eraser end of a pencil and poke away. Here's just one item I made, I like it. :o)
Okay, so it's not perfect, but it's definitely ME! I'm not known for doing things your way, I do things my way!
