Rag Tray

As you might remember from a previous post, my friend Jennie surprised me with a rag tray she made! I love it and think I finally came up with the perfect thing to do with it. I'm going to purchase some coffee beans to scatter around the flower pots and more appropriate colored candles, but I love how this worked out! Also, when I go on my antique shopping spree, I'm going to look for these Jadite flower pots in different colors to put in this.

Thanks Jennie! I love it!

Fortune Cookie (AGAIN)

I get the strangest fortune cookies! What's up with that? This one is huge, just about 3 inches long! It was wide open and no fortune in it.

Attempted knitting project

I really like to knit but I'm not very good at it. Anything I do must be EASY! So, I think this felted tote looks easy enough! I love felting, too but again, nothing ever comes out looking like "their" finished photos do!

Here's the tote before I felted it. It measures 24 x 28 inches.

I used Lion Brand Wool in the colors of Midnight Blue and Sage. It takes 3 skeins of each color.
Here's what it looks like after I felted it:

It now measures 16 x 12 inches! It really is nice and sturdy and will be great as a market tote!
I think if I make another one, I will do it in a solid color so there's no need to switch colors a lot! In this one, you change colors every five rows. I am SO tempted to make another one and use dyeable wool and dye it with Kool-Aid. I've dyed the wool before and really liked doing it.

Fun stuff in the mail!

I asked my friend, Jennie from SoSoRosey to make me some squares that I can attach paper beads to and use as thank you gifts. Not only did she make the wonderful squares, but she put them in a wonderful tray! Now I don't want to use the squares! The squares are yarn and the tray is made from fabric.
Thanks so much Jennie! Your work is awesome!

Featured Seller - Rocki's Supplies

Rocki is a fellow member of the Etsy Supply Street Team (ESST)! I ordered some supplies from her and absolutely love them! I love the shapes of the earrings she makes!

These are the silver ones she makes, aren't the itty bitty hoops to die for?

These are oxidized silver hoops called signature elfins (left) and baby elfins. I really like the color of these, it's like a gunmetal color.

Rocki can be found at http://www.rockissupplies.etsy.com/ Check out her full line of supplies! She makes these interesting items called Twist n Wraps, make sure you check those out while at her shop!
